Methodological Strategy for the Implementation of the Master's Degree in Applied Medical Informatics in the Distance Learning Modality
Abstract
This research addressed the limitations in implementing distance learning in the Master's Program in Applied Medical Informatics, stemming from the abrupt transition to this modality. The objective was to develop a methodological strategy for implementing distance learning within the Master's Program in Applied Medical Informatics. A Design-Based Research approach was adopted, integrating diagnosis, design, structuring, and validation of the proposal. The diagnosis was conducted through a survey administered to 18 professionals (teaching staff and members of the academic committee), identifying shortcomings in the pedagogical, technological, organizational, and human resource components. Based on these results, a structured methodological strategy divided into stages, with verifiable actions, defined instruments, and measurable indicators was designed. Validation was carried out using the criteria of seven external specialists, employing a Likert-type instrument. The results demonstrated high levels of coherence, relevance, and applicability. It was concluded that the strategy constitutes a viable methodological tool for guiding the implementation of distance education in postgraduate programs, contributing to the improvement of the quality of the learning process.
