Effect of digital watermarking on computer-assisted diagnosis of medical brain cancer images

Abstract

This study analyzes the application of digital watermarking as a technology for protection and validation in the computer-assisted diagnosis of medical images in brain cancer. This tool ensures the authenticity, integrity, and confidentiality of clinical data, essential aspects in contexts where diagnostic accuracy depends on automated image processing. The research highlights its potential to strengthen medical data security, reduce the risk of image alterations, and improve the reliability of artificial intelligence systems applied to neuroimaging. A gradual implementation in resource-limited settings is proposed as part of a comprehensive digital biosecurity strategy in healthcare.
